Preserving greenspace in the increasingly suburbanized Chain O' Lakes area, this conservancy is one of four contiguous conservancies near Emmons Creek in Waupaca County. Once logged and farmed extensively, the land is restoring itself with a diversity of trees including black cherry, aspen, birch, red maple, red oak, ash, basswood, and white pine. Also present is a large upland area that contains medium size glacial erratics and numerous red oaks over 100 years old, providing wildlife food and habitat. The site also includes 34 acres that are in the state's Managed Forest Land Program, and boasts vigorous white and red pine plantations with trees over 75 feet tall.
Situated along Rural Road, a designated State Rustic Road, this conservancy provides scenic views of the areas glaciated landscape and is a favorite road for quiet bike rides.
