Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust Welcomes our Largest Conservancy Ever!

Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust welcomes our largest conservancy, Three Creeks Conservancy to our fold of protected land. This conservancy boasts 600 acres, nearly one square mile of protected land that will remain intact and wild for generations to come. A property of this magnitude is truly a rare gem and worth preserving. Consisting of undeveloped shorelines and containing over 560 acres of private forested lands, it is not only our largest conservancy to date, or a Land Legacy Place, but also one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
As I stood at the edge of this pristine trout stream, I watched fish flicker in the water, and felt the warmth of the sunlight from the huge rocks beneath. I thought to myself, “Now here I can experience nature the way it used to be.” This is one of the last few private wilderness areas in northeast Wisconsin. Besides being habitat for bear, bobcat, and deer, the creeks have their own wolf pack. Numerous migratory and nesting song and game birds have made this place their home as well.
The family has been coming here for three generations, creating traditions and memories. The only development that exists is a few rustic cabins overlooking a series of cascading falls unique for a property this size. Here you can drift off to sleep on the screen porch listening to the sound of the water rushing below. You just don’t find places like this anymore.
We are very excited to have the opportunity to protect Three Creeks Conservancy. We can not emphasize enough the importance of keeping large tracts of land this size in tact. The extensive habitat that it provides and protecting the ecosystem services we rely on are just a few of the many benefits. We sincerely thank the family for entrusting us with this spectacular property and for having the desire and foresight to protect it in perpetuity.
We would like to thank all of our supporters. Without them this land would not be protected. Thank you so much! You too can become a supporter of Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust. Donate Now
