Who
We Are
Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust was founded in 1996 to preserve and restore
the natural heritage of northeast Wisconsin lands and waters.
We are a non-profit, publicly supported organization as determined by
the Internal Revenue Service under section 501(c)(3). The Land Trust
receives its financial support from citizen contributions and from private
and public sector grants. Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust is eligible
for Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources grants for projects that
qualify under the state’s Stewardship, River Protection and Lake
Protection programs.
In a world where progress is measured by the
acres of land cleared, the number of buildings erected, the conveniences
humans may have, not enough thought is given to preserving our
greatest treasure —the land itself.
