Reeve Reserve

Location: Waupaca County
Area Protected: 39 Acres

This site is a delightful, well managed continuum of Northeastern Wisconsin vegetational communties. The underlying bedrock is Precambrian granite overlain with Pleistocene glacial till. The riverbed to the north, the irregular topography, and the varying subtrates of sand and boulder fields created a habitat continuum which supports nine distinct plant communities. These communties include: Riparian Wetland; Upland Meadow; Northern Lowland; Forest Floodplain; and Northern Mesic Forest.
